Remember this classic dance track from 1993?
‘Joy’ was a huge hit for American house music studio project Staxx. A collaboration of producers Simon Thorne and Tom Jones, Staxx also enlisted the vocals of British singer Carol Leeming.
Staxx Joy was a huge club hit and the biggest selling track for the group. Realeased in 1993, Joy went to the top of the US Hot Dance Club Play Chart and #25 in the UK in 1994. It was re-released in 1997 and reached #14 in the UK.
The video is a bit of a let down, but then it is fairly typical of early 90s dance vids made on a shoestring.
