Remember this classic dance anthem from 1998?

Following up on her S-Express fame, ‘It feels so good’ was a huge club and chart hit for British singer Sonia Clarke AKA Sonique in the late 90s.

First released in December 1998, it initially only reached number 24 in the UK. It was then re-released in May 2000 and topped the UK singles chart for three weeks – the first female artist to achieve this since Kate Bush in 1978. ‘It feels so good’ eventually went on to became the third-biggest selling single of 2000 in the UK.

Sonique the song is “about this guy whom I really liked years ago, but who didn’t return my feelings. For he was very successful and I wasn’t – at that time. And he thought that I was in love with his success. This song is just a way of declaring that it was him I liked.”

Flashback to the late 90s with this classic dance anthem from Sonique and enjoy your Friday.
