Flashback Friday: Spiller – Groovejet (if this ain’t love)

Written by on May 1, 2015

Remember this classic dance anthem from 2000?

Cast you mind back to start of the Millennium and picture yourself on the dance floor. There’s a fair chance you would’ve been dancing to this little beauty from Italian electronic producer, Spiller.

‘Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)’ featured the vocals of then very fresh talent of English singer-songwriter Sophie Ellis-Bextor. The track was originally released in 1999 as an instrumental but Sophie helped make it a massive hit was it was re-released in August 2000 on Positiva Records. Groovejet topped the pop charts in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland, as well as number three on the American Hot Dance Chart.

Check out the official video below, highlighting how ‘massive’ Spiller was in those days.

Just the tonic you need to enjoy the weekend. Happy Friday!
