#FlashbackFriday: Tori Amos – Professional Widow

Written by on July 31, 2015

Remember this massive dance anthem from 1996?

Who could forget the classic line of “it’s gotta be big”. Originally a rock track, Armand Van Helden remixed ‘Professional Widow’ and made it a huge dance floor and chart hit for Tori Amos back in 1996. Reaching number 1 on the UK singles chart and the US Hot dance play chart, this was not only one of the best selling tracks for Tori, it was also the biggest chart hit for Armand.

The eponymous “professional widow” is widely rumoured to be Courtney Love, former wife of Kurt Cobain, whom Trent Reznor blames for the destruction of the friendship between himself and Amos.

Relive this classic from Tori and Armand below.
