Flashback Friday: Grace, ‘Not over yet’

Written by on January 30, 2015

Classic Dance anthem, Classic Perfecto.

Originally released in 1993, ‘Not Over Yet’ didn’t make it big until it was released two years later. In 1995, Grace finally got to #6 on the UK Singles Chart and topped the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the United States.

This is another great example of the fine work from 90s super DJs Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne. The song was originally released under the alias State of Grace with Patti Low on lead and backing vocals. The group’s name was shorted to ‘Grace’ in 1995 after the discovery of another group with the same name.

The lead vocals were then replaced in 1996 with the new Grace front woman Dominique Atkins. Low’s backing vocals remained in place for the chorus and adlibs. This Atkins/Low combination of vocals remained in place for the subsequent re-releases and remixes of Not Over Yet – and there have been many, even as recently as 2011.

Check out the official video clip below and keep listening to Massive Dance Radio to hear the full Perfecto mix (we play a dance anthem every hour).

Happy Friday!
