Sigma – Higher feat. Labrinth
Written by Michael on March 9, 2015
Brand new for 2015, it’s another hit on the way for the boys from Leeds.
Hot on the heels of two back to back number ones, and two BRIT’s nominations for Best Single and Best Video, Sigma are back with another big tune. Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie AKA Sigma team up with Labrinth to give us ‘Higher’. For this track, Sigma are once again collaborating with UK songwriting giants TMS and Wayne Hector (with whom they made ‘Changing’).
Higher is due for official release on the 22nd March but is already charting on the dance charts in the UK. It is taken from their new album ‘Life’ which is set to hit us mid year.
Sigma have now sold 1.75 million singles worldwide in just 10 months, gone Platinum in the UK (‘NTL’) and Gold for ‘Changing’ in Germany, and Benelux, and Platinum in Australia and New Zealand (‘NTL’). They’ve hit 432,844 worldwide radio plays and reached a radio audience of 1 billion, and held the UK TV Airplay Chart No.1 spot for 11 weeks combined. ‘Nobody To Love’ recently became the first drum & bass track to hit 100 million YouTube views, with the tally for both singles fast approaching 120 million.
